Monochrome rhyme of winter and childhood. The piece "Comptine Hivernale" named after the French words means winter nursery rhyme. Beauty, effortless, playful and happiness. The artwork colors are carved and layered using palette knife and lightly textured with Italian gesso. I find monochrome color composition is the best to resemble the simplicity of winter and the joy of childhood.
