I wanted to emphasize to some true values in life. These words are written on the heavy textures, surrounded by carved horizontal and vertical linear channels to make it look like grids, i.e. safe anchor spaces represented by these written values. I selected black as the overall theme, white and gold being brought to the rescue of a vintage look I wanted to express. As discussing values appear old fashioned these days, I felt that the best practice for not taking sides in the current debate is to design the piece by presenting both modern and contemporary elements together.
